Thursday, January 8 - Blah Blah... Boogie... I love my Cat!

"Years ago, my father made the long journey from his home at Richfield to Pumton to aid those families who had lost members to the war. My father was given board at the church, spending his days delivering food to families. After staying for just under a year my father was sent to an old run down cottage by the lake. Inside he found a woman and her sons. The woman was deathly ill. There was no way to call for a doctor so my father stayed with them that night, giving the woman blankets and clean towels to try and run down her fever. He sent her boys away the next day, to make sure that they would be safe. The Priest took them under his care for a time. A week passed and the woman was beginning to come to know her surroundings again. After my father believed most of her sickness to pass he sent for her boys back again. When she became well again she insisted that my father stay with them for a while, so she could thank him by looking after him. The boys were only children at the time, one 2 and the other 4 years of age, they barely knew what was going on. My father continued to stay with the family for another 10 months. In which time he learn't that the boy's father was fighting in the war and was currently alive. But as the weeks passed my father came to love the woman and her boys, and she loved him in return. One day, the woman found out that she was with child, with my father's child. When the mother heard news of her husband who would soon be returning from the war, she begged my father to take the child and leave. She would not have her husband finding out about her affair. My father agreed to take his daughter back to his home. He said goodbye to his lover and her children and left, never to see them again."
"Lady please! This story means nothing, you have no right to bother the king..."
"Squire! Please refrain. Let the lady speak her peace"
The lady nodded at the king and continued. "King, I believe you were that 4 year old little boy"
"Lady! Do not make alligations you cannot prove"
"Squire! I will not tell you again!"
"And King, I am that baby girl"

Blah Blah Blah... boring... maybe with some more character development and a plot... and maybe if the father's story was written instead of just told it would make more sense, but of course that is only the beginning... the entire plot has to be explored of what happens after the king realises that he has a half-sister... actually, she comes to him with a problem, but he's only a prince because he married into royalty and then he can't become king, but she will of course eventually (very eventually) fall in love with his wife's younger brother who is actually a prince as well because their father is still alive... he will eventually confront his mother with her affair but when he finally goes to (after much concience talk) talk to his mother she is on her death bed and she is dying. His father died many years ago from a disease he contracted from the war, so as a last gift to her he comes to terms with his half-sister and brings his mother her lover. She dies. He cries (as all guys do). But he finally excepts the truth. [His brother works as a... um... he owns a Hotel or something in town]... I could make it really old-like and make the girl fall in love with the younger brother... sorta incest... nah, i'm not that weirdo... maybe if they were cousins... could I make them cousins? Hmmmmm... maybe the mother had her son and because her sister died from the same sickness that she had just before she got it, so then she had to look after both boys, that would work, then we can have cousins, I duno if i should keep him as a prince though, because it sorta gives it a podium higher... and I don't think i want a podium in this particular story... maybe he could be something simple... blacksmith is always hot... whops... did i just type that? I didn't mean it... u know me... thinking blacksmith, thinking bloom, thinking pirates, thinking hot stuff comin through... nah that's mean to Mr Bloom, I think you are gorgeous. And probably have a heart to match *awwwww*... And i'm completely serious... who knew you could learn anything from *gasp* "POPULAR"...

Anyway... he could be a blacksmith... they both could be... but the cousin has to be out of the picture for a while because he is not spoken too throughout... actually... that sorta would work because the cousin would have less attachment to the girl... but if he grew up with the mother and brother he would be quite attached to the whole thing... unless, his father came back, but then his father would probably stay with the mother and her husband because he wouldn't be able to look after a child and work at the same time... unless he had to move somewhere... but that's a story I really don't want to tell because it would take too long to explain something too little...

Maybe... maybe it's a mystery... nah, a mystery is good a lot of the time, and mystery needs to be there at some point to make a character work... but not in this story... not in this part... i think this needs to be explained... his father didn't come back from the war, but he left the household when he was 16 to go into town to find work. He saved up all his money and bought a small inn (or maybe a pub, i duno yet, could be an inn with a pub)... The older boy (former Prinz) then moves out when he's finished school and of course begins work at the courthouse... the girl is of course an aspiring writer who is determined to get herself published, so after her family life part plays itself out she writes and novel... and somewhere near the end, when she's much older somebody asks her whether her story was fact or fiction... and she says some ambiguous answer which makes the reader question whether the story was indeed true, or just a creation from her inventive imagination.

It's 8:05am... nobody im my house is awake... i'm up... and i've been on the net for an hour and a half already... i'm sorta bored... I got off the net at 3:40 this morning to go to bed, went into the lounge room to sleep but ended up watching Tuck Everlasting and then half of the Tuck Everlasting Director + Cast commentary and then I went back on the net... I went outside for about 5 minutes somewhere...and managed to get dressed along the way... but my ear still hasn't popped... and I wish for human life to emerge from my household...

I thought Tuck Everlasting was a very very good movie... Story was amazing!!!! Well, I liked it, Acting was strong, but with a couple of bad bits since I kept seeing Rory all over Alexis Bledel... The directing wasn't fan-bloody-tastic but it wasn't a bad effort... I would have gone with a couple of changes... I think I might read the book... oh hell, i'm gonna go watch it again and hope to god I don't fall asleep coz i'll be down for the count...

I haven't gone to bed yet and it's 8:09am.
