Wednesday, March 24 - Post Titles are starting to annoy me... How nice are my relatives... Mum's gone down to berra so i'm home alone... today i went to school coz we had an excursion and then i had extension english after... so i had to be picked up... nan picked me up... she was a little late but i didn't tell her that... i talked to stephen and terry... so i wasn't waiting by myself... anyway she called a little while after she dropped me off and went home to say that if there was anything that i wanted i could call her... and then uncle just called to say exactly the same thing... very kind... but i should be okay...except i'm kinda dying of hunger... i can't cook... and we have nothing in the freezer... well... i can cook pasta but we don't have any sauce... i found some chicken nuggets so they'll have to do... so glad i'm not a vegetatian... Anyway today we went to this thing... a driving thing... i think a lot of schools go in yr 11... we went around in our tutor groups to all these different activities/lectures... #1 - This lady policewoman spoke to us first... about the different consequences of breaking the law while driving... seatbelts and speeding and drinking and whatnot... and she put the handcuffs on melissa... hehehehehehe... and the lady put on this video... it was about this girl called sarah who was killed after her 18th birthday party in a car coz the guy driving had been drinking... they showed real footage of this girl at her birthday party... and real footage of them pulling her and the other 3 people out of the car... i couldn't watch it much... started staring at my shoes and the chair in front of me... kinda gorey... #2 - we went upstairs and this guy talked to us about hazards on the road... he gave us statistics and stuff... he was really nice... he talked about head on collisions and that 19% or something about driving off the road in a bend and ending up in a tree... ouch... #3 - this lady spoke to us about insurance... she took two different examples of people wanting to buy two different cars... one for $40,000 and one for $3,000... she gave us the prices of banks and finance places... it was pretty good... she showed us a power point too... #4 - then this other lady spoke to us about alcohol... what it does and stuff... and she showed us a video too... but for the life of me i can't remember what it was about... some guy i think... anyway... #5 - then after lunch two groups were combined and we had a talk about brain injuries... a lady from the hospital came and spoke to us and two patients came and talked too... they told us about their accidents and what they've been doing since then to get them as back to normal as they can... one of them was hit by a car as he was walking home and another guy was in a car accident where his mother (the lady from the hospital) thought the light was green... it was a pretty sad topic but they were really nice and funny so it made it more bareable... #6 - the last activity was about stopping distances... two guys were there... they took us outside and in groups of 5 we went in a car down the road and the guy was driving 80kms and he slamms on the breaks... then, as he's coming back he slammed on the breaks again... the first group at 40, the second at 60, the nest at 80 and then the final group at 50... we measured with cones the different distances... he got amanda and cecile to stand just in front of where the car stopped when it was going 50... then the guy went down again... the guy with us replaced cecile and amanda with cones and the guy drove up doing 60 and then he slammed on the breaks... goodbye cecile and amanda... Well that was about all we did... i sat next to anna on the bus there and back... i must take her to the zoo... i'll check when we've got netball... i think it's at 1pm so it sorta screws up saturday... but i'll take her to the zoo sometime... she hasn't been in aus yet... we had a cool discussion about germany... coz school there ends at 1:20pm and then go home to have lunch... i think that'd be really good... having the rest of the afternoon to do ur homework and assignments and stuff instead of staying up late at night like i do now... she says the teachers aren't as nice over there... people don't ask questions and the teachers don't help... but other stuff is good... i think i might invite her to the easter party but i duno if she'd have a good time... when do the [old school] german exchange students go back? My hair is falling out... omg i swear it is... yesterday i actually brushed it... and it took me an hour to get the knots out... seriously... i washed it and now it's all little and smooth... but i reckon i've got a couple of bald spots underneath... Hackeysack In extension all we did was watch She's all that... we're in groups doing our assignment but nobody felt like working... the other group in the same room as us (Stephen, Michael, Stephanie, Chris, Ryan & Terry) were watching it coz it's their text so we just watched it too... we're doing SHREK! I don't mind that the others decided without me coz i was away on monday but i reckon i'm gonna pull the group down... which'll make me feel down... i'm in the group with Ashley, Katharine, and Kathy... there are three Kat's... lol... Kathy used to to dancing with Mel years ago... they both said hi to each other through me... lol... I am still in email contact with a couple of people from [old school] which is really good... I'm going to get off the computer in 7 minutes so I can finish my history incase megan calls me tonight like she said she might... I feel like watching the group video tonight... but i know i don't have time... so i think i might say to myself that i can if I get my history done and practiced by 8pm... SLOU is on at 9:30 but I can miss it coz i'm not an avid fan... steph said that angel had been moved to thursday nights instead of buffy so i'm kinda upset... i'll havta check the guide to make sure... damn... need a tv guide... It's kinda good... nobody at my new school gives a shit about my blog... I tried to tell Brittney and Keira and Lynda and Leah about it but they don't know what it is the frankly they don't give a fuck... so that's good for me i guess... i woulnd't have given them the address but some interest would have been nice... oh well... Eva fell asleep on the bus next to Lynda on the way back... apparenly she also fell asleep on the way there but i was on the other bus at the time... I kinda feel like a part of the group at school... crumble | 5:58 pm
